Some of the images below represent the degree coursework produced leading up to the pieces that formed my degree show.
Following on from some earlier pieces, I liked the idea of pots being made to stand on feet rather than just a flat base (although eventually the feet developed into a claw then disappeared altogether, requiring the pieces to be suspended).
I was interested in the creepy looking shapes and textures that can be found on crabs and insects, particularly on the legs and wanted to make vessel forms inspired these.
Other images are the results of miscellaneous coursework projects, including some early examples of thrown and altered pots.
